WAJD: Alive and Well April 7th, 2008

Well, we are back at it again. The new laptop and some new friends (in Charlotte, NC) will help us to grow this blog. Please consider commenting on the devotions and thoughts on this site...we would love to get into dialog with you and to help all explore the walk of the Lord and Savior of all mankind - Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Savior of all people even of those who believe. The GIFT is available to all who would come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and confess Him as Lord.

I was asked once, "What are you waiting for?? Move away from the steering wheel of your life and let me (Jesus) drive. You must yield to me (Jesus) and believe in me, and I will truely give you an abundance of life and give you the reason to live (that you are seeking)."

So, I ask you, "What are you waiting for?" Nothing else satisfies, you know it - you have tried all of the other things and are still coming up empty. What do you have to loose except your very life??

If you have a thousand questions and reasons why not, then try to get them answered right here on this blog site...I will try the best I can to help you find yourself in God.

If we are to WAJD then we must 1st get to know Him and His walk.

Great blog! Count me as one of those new Charlotte friends that you mentioned in your post.

I ran across a quote a couple of weeks ago that struck a chord with me.

"Your passion for God will never exceed the level of your revelation of His passion for you."
- Mike Bickle

The blind beggar Bartimaeus eloquently shouted out the prayer I need, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!...Rabbi I want to see."

If the Lord is merciful he will grant me sight to see how much He is committed to me. He doesn't want just a personal relationship with me, He wants a "covenant relationship," the strongest of all inter-personal relationships, entered into only by solemn oath-taking (think marriage vows).

A revelation of that kind of love should hopefully put life into clearer focus and cause an out-flowing of reciprocal love from me (with corresponding actions too).

Wow! What a great word and an even greater God. After 22 years of marriage I can honestly say that I love my wife more and more as each year passes...and I must say that God never ceases to amaze me with His continuous love...I love Him more and more each day. And you are absolutely right--life becomes much more "focused" when we abide in Him as He abides in us.

We are married (on earth) until death do us part...and we are married to the groom because of His (death) parting this life to conquer death and sit at the right hand of the Father.
